CAD/CAM: How 3M Manages Customer Projects

At 3M-MAZZUCCHETTI, we manufacture mechanical components or mechanical assemblies with extreme precision, according to customer specifications. To speed up and simplify the process, we use Esprit CAD/CAM software from Hexagon (a DMG partner), which allows us to acquire 2D and 3D drawings provided by customers and convert them directly into our CNC manufacturing programs.

Thanks to this technology, we can:

• Receive and manage complex CAD files
• Precisely define the required mechanical machining operations
• Automatically generate programs for our DMG MORI SEIKI CNC machining centers

The result is greater flexibility, which translates into faster, more precise, and customized production, able to meet each customer’s needs.
